Karstenhofer accuses the press and public of being unfair to Weinheber, whose case he compares with that of Herbert von Karajan; he further attacks the current state of Austrian literature and culture. Included are fourteen poems by Weinheber and one by Theodor Kramer (photocopies).

Weinheber was an Austrian poet, novelist, essayist and landscape artist. Relatively ignored until 1934, his collection of poems ADEL UND UNTERGANG brought him immediate recognition and helped him to achieve his later status as an important poet of the Third Reich. He continued to write until his suicide in 1945. Gustav Karstenhofer was a friend of his, and gave a public lecture on Weinheber on the 50th anniversary commemoration of his death.
